For a resource to be valid for a project, that resource needs to be allocated to the project.
A resource is allocated to a project if he is allocated to that project, or if he is allocated to any of the parent projects.
If a resource is allocated to either a project or a parent of the project then resource can be assigned to work on activities of the project.
This also makes the project visible to the resource, as one only sees projects he is assigned to.
While this display logic works properly, plan calculation fails if the resource is not assigned to both the project and all its parents!
This used to work, but now fails after the last 8.4.0 update.
Any suggestions for a workaround, without assigning resources to parent projects they are not supposed to see?
