Hi,
Just want to ask that is there any plans to bring online manual up to date?
Quite often I have encountered to situation, especially for administration items where I would like check something from online manual to avoid 'try and see' approaches, but too often.
i have ended up that online manual section is just having headline and then general explanation what should be under this headline.
A good example is if you try to look information about LDAP settings: I only found these two lines where above one is headline and bottom one is explanation.
manual.projeqtor.org/html_en/Administration.html?highlight=ldap
Section: Ldap management parameters
Information about LDAP connection and behavior on creation of new user from LDAP connection.
What you think is that look really informative?![B) B)]()
What I would expected to see there with this LDAP case and other cases too. To go thru each setting one by one what there could be and explaining what is purpose of these settings and maybe some generic examples. Lucky I'm experienced person with nix system, so I can go with this time consuming 'try and see' approach, but just thinking if there is some inexperienced people trying to find some information.
So question now is that where I should save LDAP settings for this Projeqtor SW? On forums people are talking about parameters.php-file in file/config folder, but sametime I can see LDAP settings to be visible on authentication tab at global parameters in adminstration side via web browser. so which one is then overriding which? and it looks that settings from web browser side and not saved to same file (why not to save same setting to same file? And it looks to be even more confusing if these setttings are stored two different places).
It would also nice to have a button to test LDAP connection via web browser (at global parameters page). What would be the setting if I would like to force Projeqtor to use TLS mode automatically with LDAP? Currently I cannot see any setting for communication encryption, where it should at least three settings: no encryption / SSL / TLS.
Hopefully this really good SW will get online manual to same level in the future.
